Pirathosam .
We decided to go to our native village, Alwarkurchi witnessing pirathosam events at
Vanniapper temple, adjacent to our native old house on the bank of river, Rama Nathi. We reached
there at about 5 o'clock and entered into temple when the pooja performance began. The temple is very old one and half ruined by ill-maintenance by villagers. The outer pirakaharam & compound wall was affected by various rain & summer heat.

Inside of temple,we found number of architecture & sculptures in large scale.
Some of the idols might be stolen by thieves
We got nice dhersan of some divine statues,
.Customarily, Pirathosam is being worshiped Lord Siva,Parvathy and
then only Nandhikeswerar near Kodimaram. Some devotees observed fast
and finished their fast after the pooja of pirathosam of any Sivan koil.
After the pooja rituals over the prasathams were distributed to all.
We got nice dhersan and prasathams and exited the temple and
returned to our destination.
